Upcoming Event

Crocheting Butterflies

Saturday, 18 April, 3-5PM

Learn how to crochet a lovely butterfly with friends at St Andrew’s!

Spring is a beautiful season of colour, new life, and creativity. We warmly invite you to join our Crochet Butterfly Workshop at church, where we will learn how to transform simple yarn into a lovely flying butterfly.

This workshop is open to beginners as well as those who already have some experience crocheting small items. Together we will go through a few easy and useful crochet techniques such as making a slip knot, slip stitch, and treble crochet. Step by step, we will create a delicate crochet butterfly that can brighten your home this spring or be given as a thoughtful handmade gift to cheer someone up.

Whether you are completely new to crochet or just want to enjoy crafting together with others, this will be a relaxed and friendly time to learn, share, and create.

Come along and begin your crochet butterfly journey with us.

Let’s turn yarn into beautiful butterflies together! 🧶🦋

Everyone is welcome—come, learn, and enjoy the joy of creating!

Please bring a 3.5 mm or 4 mm crochet hook. Yarns will be provided, but you’re very welcome to bring your own in colours you love.

Tea, cake, and music will also be available.

Free, but donations appreciated to cover costs.

Arrive from 2:45PM. Event from 3PM to 5PM on Saturday
St. Andrew’s Church Hall, Church Lane, Eaton, next to Waitrose

Future Events

Sign up is typically available about two weeks in advance of each event. You can join our mailing list to be the first to know about future events by emailing Stephanie.

Our past events have included a wide range of guided activities, including learning how to make a paper lantern, needle-felt birds, and watercolour candle-light. You can check out some photos of who we are and what we’ve created together here.

What is Art Café?

We’re a friendly and casual space for those who enjoy community and creativity to craft together.

You’re welcome to join our guided activity, bring your own project, or simply enjoy the company over tea & coffee.

Events are generally free of charge, but donations are appreciated; they help us to cover costs and serve our community, as we’re entirely volunteer-run and donation-based.*

*When costs require special crafting kits/non-reusable materials (e.g. paper lanterns, needle-felting birds), we will either ask you to bring these materials yourselves, or provide them for a small fee at the event.

News

We are currently looking for more volunteers, so if you’d like to get involved — whether to teach a session, bake a cake, contribute crafting ideas, or help with set up/clean up — please reach out at our email and number below.
