Thank you everyone for your generous donations to local hostels at harvest time - you can see the results here.

In other news, James Cook was ordained Deacon at Norwich Cathedral in one of the first ordinations to be held in the Church of England this year, after the delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

St Andrew’s marked the resumption of services onsite on 9 August, with all of the permitted seats taken (and reserved well in advance).  The service was led by the vicar, Phil Rodd, with James Cook, preaching on ‘Undeserved Grace’.  It was quite an experimental service and we tried different ways of doing things over the following weeks, until we returned to virtual life in November. In December we began to prepare for further experiments to enhance our worship at Christmas.

It was good to mark the first service in August by flying the new flag – and thanks to Ed Wall for braving the heights of the Church Tower!
