Welcoming our New Churchwarden at St Andrew's

Photo of the Vicar and new ChurchwardenAfter a lengthy interim, we're delighted to announce that Ade Adeyeye was formally admitted as our new churchwarden on 5 August.  It took place at a small gathering at church, with members of the Church Council and three former churchwardens present.

We give thanks for Ade's willingness to serve in this capacity, and we look forward to working with him to further many of the practical areas and behind-the-scenes life at St Andrew's.

1    Behold how good and pleasant it is to dwell together in unity.

2    It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down upon the beard,

3    Even on Aaron’s beard, running down upon the collar of his clothing.

4    It is like the dew of Hermon running down upon the hills of Zion.

5    For there the Lord has promised his blessing: even life for evermore.

(Psalm 133)

God of power,

may the boldness of your Spirit transform us,

may the gentleness of your Spirit lead us,

may the gifts of your Spirit equip us

to serve you and worship you

now and always.

Amen.
