Safeguarding

Here at St Andrew’s, we believe that every human being is made in God's image. We should therefore honour and love everyone, regardless of age, ability, gender or ethnicity.

Our information about caring for and protecting each other is given below.

If you’re a child looking for help, you might prefer to contact ChildLine, which is a free service.  Just dial: 0800 1111.

We have adopted policies according to the Diocese of Norwich Safeguarding guidance, which is available here. If you have any safeguarding concerns – or if you need help in this area in any way, this guidance has contact details so you can report a safeguarding concern to local government authorities.  You’ll also find the contact details of the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisors, from whom you can seek advice.

The St Andrew’s policy documents can be found below:
  • relating to children and young people here
  • relating to vulnerable adults can be found here
If you have concerns about safeguarding specifically concerning St Andrew’s Church, contact one of our Parish Safeguarding Officers:
The Diocesan Safeguarding Team (not 24 hours, works during office hours):
